I hear some version of this from leaders all the time. You've explained it. You've supported. And still, slow. So we do the natural thing. We push harder.

Now you might be thinking: "But a bit of pressure works, Maik." You're right. So let me be precise about what actually works.

You can't make grass grow faster by yanking on it. Pull on the plant and you tear the roots.

But you're not powerless. Some farmers grow watermelons inside a box, and the fruit comes out square. The box never forces the melon. It shapes it.

That's you: setting structure, standards, a clear direction.

And speed? You can influence that too. Just not by pulling. It grows from the support you give and the motivation they bring. Water and sunlight, not force.

So don't yank. Shape, and feed.
